I have blogged so many film reviews that I’m actually quite surprised. I have seen many many many films of which I just really haven’t had the time (currently) to write film reviews on them.

At the moment I am working with Master’s Touch and helping get their event of ‘Behind A Closed Door’ out there (which I suggest you book tickets for people- SATURDAY 11TH DECEMBER @ 6.45PM. HELD AT THE BIRMINGHAM LIBRARY THEATRE- lfcmasterstouch@hotmail.co.uk). Not only am I doing this but I am also looking for online journalism work as well as trying to maintain 3 different blogs (Tumblr, WordPress- Environment and this blog)… INFORMATION OVERLOAD… my mind has hit OVERDRIVE!

Where do I continue from here? Do I take one thing at a time or continue to let my mind multi-task and go into auto-pilot (which at times is actually quite amazing to be honest LOL). It’s an interesting time and experience for me. Finding myself in today’s society and learning how to get myself, my skills and creativity out there is an interesting journey. However, in the midst of it all “WHAT AM I ACTUALLY DOING?”.

The fact that I am actually just sitting here and going on and on, it’s actually quite refreshing. It’s interesting how a mind can have so much going on inside that everything in life just becomes a cycled dream that never seems to end.

Taking a step back once in a while is great. Allowing the mind to be renewed, refreshed and restored is a great thing. Having that peace which allows you to become stronger and once again find that focus you have been in search for and need; is actually a great thing. We all need peace! As the world continues to become more and more advanced, fast paced and technological; let’s remember not to lose ourselves in it. Let’s take a step back and think (if only for a moment), it may be the best moment you ever have.

There Is No Plan B

Director: Joe Carnahan

The boys are back in town but now they’re on the big screen. 1980′s T.V. show ‘The A Team’ has hit cinema’s; Hannibal (Liam Neeson), Face (Bradley Cooper), Murdoch (Sharlto Copley) and the one and only BA Baracus (Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson) are on a mission to recover the printing plates for  U.S. 100 dollar bills. Whilst doing the job their  commanding officer is killed and the plates are stolen by another operative. After being framed, the A Team are court martialed and sent to different prisons. 6 months later a CIA spook offers freedom to them and tells of where the man who took the plates is. The guys go back on the same mission but after doing it, they discover that the spook might not be as clean as he says he is.

Also stars Jessica Biel, a military intelligence officer who is hot on their trail.

My Thoughts

Absolutely LOVED IT! I have to admit I hated the series, it just wasn’t for me all the army stuff but the film was great, action packed combat and comedy banter all the way through. Defiitely a must see for A Team lovers and even those who just want to watch a good film.

Sci fi mystery drama Inception takes you into a world where your mind is the only battle ground. Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Dom Cobb, a skilled thief in extraction (stealing secrets deep within the subconscious during the dream state). Cobb’s gifts allow him to be in a high position within his career but has lost him everything that is personal and an international fugitive. Cobb is offered a job that will prove to be his redemption, he must assemble a team of specialists for his last job to achieve INCEPTION (to plant an idea rather than steal it), but with an enemy predicting their every move can the team pull through?

My Thoughts:

I have to admit, this was a very good film. It gets your mind thinking from beginning to end, the plot is very good with sharp twists every now and then. Visually the graphics are impressive with action and gripping interest from beginning to end. Definitely a MUST SEE.

Director: David Slade

Romance vampire drama Twilight is back for its third installment Eclipse.  With graduation fast approaching Bella (Kristen Stewart) finds herself in danger of revenge crazed vampire Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard), whilst being tangled in a more love spiral complexed relationship with vampire lover Edward (Robert Pattinson) and close werewolf friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner), but now is the time for her final decision. Whilst the friendship and love triangle intensifies, the hunt is on in Seattle as a new round of mysterious killing sprees and disappearances occur but who is the perpetrator?

My Thoughts:

I’m not going to lie, I did enjoy Eclipse but it wasn’t my favourite Twilight film. I love the fact that the Cullens had more of a character and we got to see it. The action scenes were some of my favourite in the film, however it wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. It is definitely worth watching and the story lines continue to grow deep but are more mature and developed.

Death At A Funeral is one of the lastest comedy films of 2010. An all-star cast including Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, James Marsden, Danny Glover, Peter Dinklage, Tracy Morgan, Columbus Short and even Keith David, come together at the funeral of a much beloved father. As the funeral continues to unravel and should be a sad event, family secrets are exposed and bodies misplaced. Will the dead have any peace???

My Thoughts:

To be honest I was looking VERY excited to watch this films, trailers looked great. After watching it I wasn’t as fulfilled as I thought I would have been. Some scenes are very funny and have you cracking up in laughter (especially Danny Glover- shockingly), but overall it was not that great.

Action comedy Kick Ass really did kick some ass. Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) dreams of becoming a superhero are made reality when he puts on his mean green superhero-like suit to become Kick Ass. He trains himself to fight the city’s villains and crime. But if there is one thing he can do best in his new career it is getting his “ass kicked”. Superhero father and daughter duo Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) look to stop a notorious crime boss but will all three of them succeed or be beaten by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)?

My Thoughts:

It wasn’t as funny as I expected it to be. When the punch lines and funny jokes are there, they are very funny. The action and fighting scenes are FANTASTIC. Top marks there *thumbs up*

Director: Martin Scorsese

Thriller crime drama Shutter Island will leave you guessing and wanting to solve an unknown mystery.

U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his work partner Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) are sent to solve the mystery disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a criminally hospital and is presumed to be hiding on the island. As the mystery unfolds he wonders whether has become part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors and their radical treatments ranging from unethical to sinister. But will Teddy make it out sane or become one with the insane?

My Thoughts:

The overall storyline was interesting. Getting inside Shutter Island and all the schemes within it was an interesting eye opener in general. The twist added to the plot, making it far more interesting. Something that is well worth watching.

Fantasy drama ‘The Lovely Bones’  looks to pull on the emotional strings of its audience.

Young daughter Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan) is murdered and finds herself watching over her family even in death. Mum Abigail Salmon (Rachel Weisz) and father Jack Salmon (Mark Wahlberg) along with their other two children miss her deeply. Susie wants vengeance for her death, but must weigh the price of her vengeance against her family’s healing over her death. Even in death, Susie still has a path to choose.

My Thoughts:

To be honest it was not my kind of film at all. It was not what I expected (which I can’t write as it would spoil the film). The  film however did make some good use of visual effects and was very eye opening to the world around us.

Lesbian kissing, naked bodies, catfights, unsual cooky outfits… oh yeah and the singing. Lady Gaga has done it again. Made a statement and another great mark on the world with this new video. You have to see it to believe it I think. But now the question is, has Lady Gaga gone too far? What do you think?

Horror action thriller Legion leaves the whole planet on edge as the Almighty God who created them, nurtured them has finally GIVEN UP on them.

God’s leading warrior Angel Michael (Paul Bettany) disobeys God and vows to help save the unborn baby of an estranged human being woman Charlie (Adrianne Palicki), who is being looked after by the man who loves her Jeep (Lucas Black) and his father Bob (Dennis Quaid) in order to save humanity from an evil apocolypse. But will Michael fulfill his vow before Angel Gabriel (Kevin Durand) intervenes?

My Thoughts:

The plot was very good. Absolutely loved the storyline. The only thing that this film loses points on for me was the ACTION. In my personal opinion there needed to be more action. Some dialogue could have been replaced with more action. When there was action, there was lots of it and it was GREAT. There just needed to be more. It is still a definite ‘must see’.
